The Oleo P 8 – Cold Press for the Highest Oil Quality in Small Batches

The Oleo P 8 oil press is the proven entry-level machine for anyone who wants to cold press professionally – without the space requirements and investment of a large press. With a seed throughput of up to 8 kg/h, it is designed for weekly pressing volumes of up to approx. 50 kg, making it the ideal choice for direct marketers, farmers, beekeepers, natural cosmetics producers and ambitious hobby oil millers.

Despite its compact dimensions of 500 × 350 × 660 mm and a weight of only 55 kg, the P 8 is a professional machine: all oil-contact components are made from food-safe materials, the stainless steel hopper meets the highest hygiene standards, and the machine is filled with food-safe lubricant at the factory. Unpack, connect, press – no complex setup required.

Both variants – the P 8 U and the P 8 L – are fully equipped and delivered with a stainless steel hopper, electrical control cabinet with emergency stop, heating sleeve, complete nozzle set (Ø 5–16 mm) and specialist tools. The only difference lies in the power supply and speed control – the pressing performance, quality and spare parts supply are identical for both variants.

What is the difference between the P 8 U and P 8 L?

The P 8 U operates on 230V single-phase power (standard socket) and has an integrated frequency inverter for variable speed control (5–25 rpm). The P 8 L runs on 400V three-phase power at a fixed speed of 16 rpm. Motor output, seed throughput, weight and dimensions are identical for both variants.

Which variant is better for me – P 8 U or P 8 L?

If you process different oil seeds or do not have a three-phase connection, we recommend the P 8 U. The variable speed control allows optimal adjustment to every seed variety. If you are pressing the same seed variety regularly at a fixed location with a three-phase connection and are looking for a simple, low-maintenance solution, the P 8 L is the right choice.

How much can I press with the Oleo P 8 per week?

With a maximum seed throughput of up to 8 kg/h and typical operating times of 4–6 hours, weekly pressing volumes of 30–50 kg are easily achievable. For higher weekly volumes we recommend the Oleo P 10 U or the Oleo P 20 range.

Is the Oleo P 8 also suitable for hobby users?

Yes. The Oleo P 8 is easy to operate, ready to use immediately and is suitable both for professional direct marketers and for ambitious hobby oil millers who want to press regularly in small batches. The easy cleaning and straightforward operation make it ideal for beginners too.

Which press spindle is suitable for my oil seed?

Both P 8 variants are supplied with the press spindle R6, which is suitable for most common oil seeds. For hard pressing material (rapeseed, sunflower) we recommend the R8, and for soft pressing material (walnuts, hemp, linseed) the R11. We are happy to advise you personally.

Do I also need a filter press?

Freshly pressed oil contains natural turbidity (suspended particles, fine press cake residues). For clear, longer-lasting edible oil we recommend the Filter Press Oleo F 20 – the ideal complement to the P 8 range.
