Which power connection do I need for the Oleo P 8 L?
The P 8 L requires a 400V three-phase three-phase connection (3-ph, 50 Hz). This is usually present in commercial establishments, barns and workshops. If no three-phase connection is available, we recommend the Oleo P 8 U With 230V single-phase connection.
What is the difference between P 8 L and P 8 U?
The P 8 L works with 400V three-phase current at a fixed speed of 16 rpm – ideal for constant operation with the same type of seed. The P 8 U runs at 230V and has an integrated frequency converter for continuous speed control (5-25 rpm). Otherwise, both machines are technically identical.
How fast can I press with the P 8 L?
The maximum seed power is up to 8 kg/h. The actual performance depends on the seed type and the moisture content. In rapeseed, 6-8 kg/h is typically reached; With fatty, soft seeds such as walnuts, the performance is slightly lower.
Can I use the P 8 L to process different types of seed?
Yes, that’s possible. However, the fixed speed of 16 rpm is optimized for robust, oil-rich seeds. For more sensitive seeds such as walnuts or flax seeds, where a lower speed ensures better oil quality, we recommend the Oleo P 8 U with adjustable speed. When changing the seed, we recommend a thorough cleaning of the machine.
Do I need special accessories to start with?
