The Oil Press Oleo P 40 S is the high-performance variant of the P 40 series and the most powerful model offered by Kambas OleoPress. The 4 kW motor delivers 33% more drive power than the P 40 N and P 40 U (3 kW each) – a decisive advantage for particularly hard, oil-rich seeds, high residual oil content in the press cake, or pressing conditions where a 3 kW motor reaches its limits.

The increased torque of the 4 kW motor is especially noticeable with difficult-to-press seeds such as rapeseed with high moisture content, mustard seeds, hemp seeds, or other seeds with a high fiber content. Where a 3 kW motor might need to reduce speed or back off on pressure, the P 40 S works steadily through – ensuring more consistent yields and reliable continuous operation under maximum load.

Like the entire P 40 range, the P 40 S is equipped with 2 heating jackets and 2 sets of press nozzles (Ø 5–16 mm) and is offered in all three voltage variants: 230V 1-phase, 400V 3-phase, and 230V 3-phase. With a dead weight of 220 kg and the proven press cylinder geometry of the P 40 series, it is designed for the most intensive industrial continuous use.

When do I need the P 40 S instead of the P 40 N or P 40 U?

The P 40 S is the right choice if you work with particularly hard, high-fiber, or moist seeds where a 3 kW motor reaches its maximum load – recognizable by RPM drops, increased motor temperature, or uneven pressing operation. For most common oilseeds (rapeseed, sunflower, pumpkin, linseed), the P 40 N or P 40 U with 3 kW is completely sufficient. What does “Special Version” mean for the P 40 S?

What is the advantage of 4 kW over 3 kW?

The 4 kW motor delivers 33% more drive power and thus higher torque. This is particularly effective with difficult-to-press seeds: the motor keeps the set speed constant without dropping during resistance peaks. With normal seeds under normal load, the difference in practical operation is minor – however, the 4 kW motor has more reserve for extreme situations and experiences less wear in the process.

How much seed can I process per week?

With a maximum capacity of up to 40 kg/h and typical operating times of 8 hours per day, weekly pressing volumes of over 1,000 kg are achievable. The P 40 S is designed for demanding operations that need to reach these volumes reliably, even under difficult pressing conditions.

Are spare parts available in the long term?

Yes. Kambas OleoPress guarantees the permanent availability of all wear parts – R8 and R11 press screws, Type E and R press cylinders, nozzles, press heads, connection nuts, and feeding hoppers – even years after purchase. All parts are manufactured in Germany, are available from stock, and are fully compatible with old IBG Monforts DD85-G machines.

Yes. For the P 40 S, we recommend the Filter Press F 470 for maximum filter volume, or alternatively the F 350. For the complete production chain, we also offer our AF3 and AF4 bottle filling systems.
