The Oleo P 20 U in Detail – Full P 20 Performance Without Three-Phase Power

The Oil Press Oleo P 20 U is the flexible universal variant of the P 20 series and solves the most common obstacle when entering professional oil production: the lack of a three-phase power connection. The “U” stands for Universal – thanks to the 230V single-phase connection, the P 20 U can be operated from a standard household socket without the need for complex electrical installations or grid expansion.

Despite the more efficient 2.2 kW motor, the P 20 U achieves the same seed capacity of up to 20 kg/h as the more powerful P 20 N – thanks to the integrated frequency converter, which infinitely regulates the speed between 15 and 70 rpm and ensures optimal motor utilization. For businesses that do not press in 24/7 continuous operation but in planned press runs of several hours, the P 20 U is the more economical solution without any loss in performance.

The P 20 U is available in three voltage variants: 230V single-phase (household socket), 400V three-phase (industrial power), and 230V three-phase – covering almost any site requirement. With a weight of approx. 135 kg and dimensions of 480 × 480 × 620 mm, it is both stable and compact.

Like all machines in the P 20 series, the P 20 U is 100% compatible with the original spare parts of the former IBG Monforts Oekotec oil presses – press screws, cylinders, heads, connection nuts, and nozzles can be used in Komet oil presses D85 and DD85. Can I operate the Oleo P 20 U from a standard household socket?

Yes. The P 20 U is designed in the 230V single-phase version to operate from a standard Schuko household socket. A three-phase industrial connection (400V) is not required. Alternatively, the P 20 U is also available for 400V 3-phase and 230V 3-phase – please specify your desired voltage version when inquiring.

What is the difference between P 20 U and P 20 N?

The main difference is the motor: The P 20 U has a 2.2 kW motor with flexible power supply (230V or 400V), while the P 20 N has a 3 kW motor exclusively for 400V three-phase power. In practical operation, both models reach up to 20 kg/h seed capacity. The P 20 N is the better choice for 24/7 continuous operation under maximum load; the P 20 U is the more economical solution for planned press runs without industrial power.

Which press screw is included?

The P 20 U is delivered with either press screw R8 (for hard seeds like rapeseed and sunflower) or R11 (for soft seeds like walnuts, hemp, and linseed), depending on your order. Please let us know your main seed type when inquiring so we can recommend the optimal configuration.

How much seed can I process per week?

With a maximum seed capacity of up to 20 kg/h and typical press runs of 6–8 hours, you can easily process 100–200 kg per week.

Are spare parts available long-term?

Yes. Kambas OleoPress guarantees the permanent availability of all wear parts – press screws R8 and R11, cylinders type E and R, nozzles, press heads, connection nuts, and hoppers – even years after purchase. All parts are made in Germany and are in stock. They are also fully compatible with old IBG Monforts Oekotec machines.
