What is the difference between P 40 N, P 40 U and P 40 S?

All three variants reach up to 40 kg/h and have the same stepless speed control (15–70 rpm) and all voltage variants. The differences: P 40 N = 3 kW, 220 kg, most robust design. P 40 U = 3 kW, 200 kg, 20 kg lighter. P 40 S = 4 kW, 220 kg, strongest engine in the portfolio – special version on request.

Why does the P 40 have the same 3 kW motor as the P 20, but double throughput?

The higher throughput is not achieved by a stronger engine, but by an optimized, larger screw and pressing cylinder geometry. The P 40 has a larger pressing surface and an optimized conveying geometry, which processes more seed per unit of time with the same energy use. For seeds where 3 kW is under maximum load, we offer the P 40 S with 4 kW.

Why are 2 heating collars delivered?

The larger press cylinder of the P 40 series requires two heating collars for an even and fast heating. Even with cold-sensitive seeds such as walnuts or hemp seeds and cold start in cool production halls, the even temperature distribution is crucial for yield and oil quality.
