Why buy an oil press – and why at Kambas Oleopress?
The own oil press is worthwhile for anyone who Regularly high quality vegetable oil wants to produce – be it for personal use, direct sales from the farm, gastronomy or commercial marketing. Cold-pressed oil from our own production is characterized by its fresh taste, high content of unsaturated fatty acids and natural antioxidants – qualities that are often lost in industrially processed oil.
The screw press principle: simple, robust, efficient
All OleoPress oil presses work according to the proven Expeller principle: The seed is fed into the pressing cylinder via a feeding hopper, where a rotating screw continuously builds up pressure. The oil leaks through precise slots in the strainer basket, the press cake leaves the machine at the other end through a nozzle. No solvents, no heat treatment – only mechanical pressure.
The result: Natural cloudy cold press oil With full taste, which can be used for food purposes, cosmetic applications or industrial use, depending on the seed and further processing. The press cake is rich in protein and is suitable as animal feed or fertilizer.
Suitable seed for screw oil presses
The OleoPress oil presses are suitable for a wide range of oilseeds. Rape, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, mustard, poppy seeds and milk thistle have proven particularly effective. The combination of the oil content, core hardness and the desired pressing temperature is decisive for the choice of the right pressing spindle (R8 for hard, R11 for soft pressed goods) and the nozzle.

Frequently asked questions about buying an oil press
Which oil press is right for me?
This mainly depends on the press volume. If you want to process up to about 50 kg of seed per week, you are Oleo P 8 Oder Oleo P 10 Well served – whereby the P 10 is additionally compatible with IBG Monforts spare parts and offers an adjustable speed. For more regular or larger quantities up to approx. 100 kg/week, we recommend the Oleo P 20. Anyone who works commercially with several hundred kilograms per week should Oleo P 40 grab We would be happy to advise you personally.
What does ‘cold pressed’ mean and how does it differ from other methods?
During cold pressing, the seed is pressed exclusively by mechanical pressure – without external heat supply. The resulting frictional heat ideally keeps the oil temperature below 40-45°C. This protects heat-sensitive ingredients such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants. In contrast, significantly higher yields are achieved in hot pressing or chemical extraction, but at the expense of quality.
What is included?
All OleoPress machines are delivered ready for immediate use: including stainless steel funnels, electrical cabinets, heating sleeve, complete nozzle set (Ø 5-16 mm) and special tool for changing screws. No additional components are necessary to start pressing immediately.

Can I also use the machine for several seed types?
Yes – a change between seed varieties is possible. We recommend changing the pressing spindle (R8 for hard, R11 for soft pressed material) and a thorough cleaning between the press runs to avoid taste transfers. We advise you on the optimal machine configuration for your seed range.
