#ATFP_CLOSE_Translate_Span#The models at a glance: from the CA59 to the S120F
The product range of the old IBG Monforts oil presses included several model series, which differed in capacity, power and purpose. From the small hand press for home use to the powerful screw oil press for continuous commercial operation, the range offered a wide selection.
CA59-1H – the hand press
The CA59-1H is the smallest machine in the IBG Monforts series – a pure hand press without an electric motor. With a weight of only 30 kg and a compact design (910 × 300 × 500 mm) it was ideal for home use or smallest farms. The pressing capacity was 1 to 3 kg of seed per hour.
CA59-G – compact press with motor
The CA59-G was the motorized version of the entry-level model. With 1.1 kW of engine power and a capacity of 3 to 5 kg/h, it was particularly suitable for small businesses and direct marketers. Compact dimensions (680 × 580 × 550 mm) and a weight of 80 kg made them easy to use and flexibly used.
D85-1G – medium performance class
The D85-1G was the first model of the D85 series – designed for medium-sized companies. With 3.0 kW of engine power, it achieved a capacity of 10 to 25 kg per hour. The weight of 310 kg and the dimensions of 1080 × 800 × 600 mm ensured a stable stand even with intensive operation.
DD85-G – Double screw for higher throughput
The DD85-G based on the same platform as the D85-1G (3.0 kW, 1080 × 800 × 600 mm), but is equipped with a double screw system equipped. With the same engine power, this enables a significantly higher throughput capacity of 20 to 50 kg/h – ideal for companies with a regularly high pressing volume.
S120F – The size machine
The S120F was the big machine of the IBG Monforts line. with 7.5 kW engine power, weighing 440 kg and dimensions of 1670 × 825 × 1320 mm. She has hardly established herself on the market.
#ATFP_CLOSE_Translate_Span#Technical data of all models in comparison
The following overview shows at a glance which performance class covered the individual models of the old IBG Monforts oil press series. The bandwidth ranges from the manual hand press with 1-3 kg/h to a motorized professional machine with up to 100 kg/h.
| Model | Capacity (kg/h) | Engine power (kW) | weight (kg) | Dimensions L×W×H (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CA59-1H | 1-3 | manual operation | 30 | 910 × 300 × 500 |
| CA59-G | 3-5 | 1.1 | 80 | 680×580×550 |
| D85-1G | 10-25 | 3.0 | 310 | 1080×800×600 |
| DD85-G | 20-50 | 3.0 | 325 | 1080×800×600 |
| S120F | 50-100 | 7.5 | 440 | 1670×825×1320 |
The D85-1G and DD85-G share the same engine power and almost identical dimensions. The decisive difference lies in the press system: The DD85-G is equipped with a double screw system that enables significantly higher throughput capacity with the same drive power.
#ATFP_CLOSE_Translate_Span#Functional principle: How the IBG Monforts oil press works
All motorized models of the IBG Monforts oil press series work according to the Screw Press Principle (also: expeller press). The seeds to be pressed – whether rapeseed, flaxseed, sunflower seeds, walnuts or other oily seeds – are placed in the filling funnel and transported by a rotating screw conveyor into the pressing cylinder.
In the pressing cylinder, the pressure is gradually increased by the narrowing screw geometry. The oil leaks through slots in the pressing cylinder and is collected in a collection container. the remaining Pressure residue (oil cake) is ejected through a nozzle at the end of the pressing cylinder. This cake is rich in protein and can be used as animal feed or fertilizer.
Note on cold pressing: During cold pressing, the seed is pressed without external heat supply. The resulting frictional heat typically keeps the temperatures below 40-45°C. This protects heat-sensitive ingredients such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins and natural antioxidants.
The principle of IBG Monforts oil presses remains unchanged in modern screw presses. What has changed are material qualities, control technology, energy efficiency and the availability of spare and wear parts.
#ATFP_CLOSE_Translate_Span#Spare parts for old IBG Monforts oil presses
Our spare parts are compatible with the common wear parts of the vegetable oil presses of the IBG Monforts Oekotec.
The biggest challenge for operators of old IBG Monforts oil presses is today the Procurement of spare and wearing parts. Although the machines are durable – but screws, press cylinders, nozzles, press heads and connecting nuts are subject to natural wear, especially during regular operation.
Since the original manufacturer no longer exists, original parts are hardly available. Kambas OleoPress specializes in Compatible spare parts for common oil press models – including parts that are compatible with the geometries of the old IBG Monforts models or can be used as a functional replacement.
Typical wearing parts for screw oil presses
- Pressing spindle (screw): The most heavily loaded component. It transports the pressed goods under high pressure and wears out within months to years depending on the press volume and seed type.
- Pressing cylinder: The slits through which the oil leaks may narrow or wear out over time. A defective press cylinder significantly reduces yield and oil quality.
- nozzle: Determines the residual oil content in the cake and the temperature when pressing. It is a central adjustment element and must be replaced or adjusted if necessary.
- Press head, connecting nut, hopper: Other parts that should be checked regularly and replaced if necessary during intensive operation.

Original parts are difficult to find after the end of production by IBG Monforts Oekotec. Kambas OleoPress offers compatible spare parts that are suitable for the common wear points of the machines. Talk to us – we check the compatibility for your specific model.
What alternative is my D85-1G or DD85-G?

What can I press with a screw oil press?
Typical oilseeds are rapeseed, flax, sunflower, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, hemp seeds, mustard and many more. The suitability depends on the moisture, the oil content and the hardness of the seed. If in doubt, we recommend a test run with a small quantity.
Is it still worth repairing an old IBG Monforts oil press?
That depends on the condition. If the base frame, engine and transmission are still in order, it is often worth replacing the wearing parts (screw, pressing cylinder, nozzle). However, if the overall picture is in great need of renovation, a new machine can be more economical – especially because current models with significantly better supply of spare parts score points.
